Iron Void

Iron Void are a Doom band from Wakefield, West Yorkshire who've been bringing the heavy since 1998, albeit in 2 separate stints as they took a lengthy hiatus between 2000 - 2008. Across these 2 periods of activity they've been pretty productive with 3 full-lengths, a single, an EP and a Live album to their names.

It's been a while since 2018's "Excalibur" album so to spread the word on their recent activity the guys all came on to my channel for a Heavy Metal Hangout

Promethium

Check out Promethium folks, they are a Groove/Heavy Metal band from Lancashire UK who have been making music since 2007. So far they have 2 EPs and 4 kick-arse albums under their belts. Guitarist Dan recently hung out with us on my YouTube channel and will be joining me for a full chat/interview in June.

Elric

I thought I'd make a blog post about my mate Elric. He does album rankings on my channel and also joins me for Vidcasts and the Beer Guys shows.

He does a weekly show, Into the Pit on Metal Devastation Radio and has recently published his 1st book, "Hawkwind Fans Worldwide Facebook Top 40" compiling fans' views of the band Hawkwind's greatest records.

Wax Mekanix

Based in Philadelphia, PA. Waxim “Wax” Ulysses Mekanix is an American musician, songwriter, performer, producer, and founding member of NWOBHM cult rockers Nitro. If you're looking for a genre name then try Hard Rock & High Velocity Folk on for size!! Wax’s perspective and work can best be described as raw, authentic, bold, uncompromising, and disconcerting.

New album "Mobocracy" was released November 2020 on Electric Talon Records with a host of guests and recorded in a number of locations. I'll be sure to ask him a few questions about the album during our chat to get the lowdown.

“Mobocracy” is a focused collection of strident, aggressive, snarling, howling songs that draws on Wax’s decades of experience and influences.

Incursion

 

This week I get to chat to Incursion a Heavy Metal band from Miami, Florida. They were originally around from 1982 - 86 releasing a single demo in that time, then they vanished for over 30 years, only re-emerging in 2018. They brought out an EP, "The Hunter" in May 2020 which was later re-released in January 2021 on CD and vinyl by No Remorse Records.

Lawrence Wallace

 

Today I get to chat to solo artist Heavy Metal Shredder Lawrence Wallace. He hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been busy bringing out a ton of instrumental music over the last year. 2020 saw him release 2 EPs, "Visions of Another World" in April and "Summer by the Lake" in August. He shows no signs of slowing down in 2021 with his debut full length "Journey Through Time" being unleashed in February.

High Speed Hangover Vidcast - 1

 

So we streamed the 1st, of hopefully many, High Speed Hangover Vidcasts and it was pretty fun, we were testing out a few things to see what worked and I think I called a band by the wrong name at least twice haha and we found out that the sound quality playing direct from YouTube is not great so we'll be playing straight from video files instead. Black Tar Superstar

This week I am hanging out with Reaper and Death Slinger from Black Tar Superstar, a Sludge/Doom Metal band from Akron, Ohio. Formed in 2014, they've been pretty busy with 4 EPs and a single under their belts so far, with their most recent "...Old Gods, Awaken!" coming out last October.
