High Speed Hangover Patreon Exclusive - Vincent Price

This show is exclusive for my Patreon patrons.
Please consider becoming one TODAY 😊

Vincent Price (1911–1993) was an American actor whose velvety voice, aristocratic poise, and flair for the macabre made him one of the most recognisable figures in 20th‑century horror. Born into a wealthy St. Louis family and educated at Yale and the Courtauld Institute, he began his career on the stage before moving into film, where he eventually became the defining face of gothic cinema. Though he appeared in a wide range of genres, it was his performances in films like House of Wax, The Tingler, Witchfinder General, and the Edgar Allan Poe cycle with Roger Corman that cemented his legacy. Beyond acting, Price was a passionate art collector, a published author, a gourmet cook, and a committed advocate for civil rights. His distinctive presence extended into radio, television, and even music—most famously narrating the chilling monologue in Michael Jackson’s Thriller. By the time of his death in 1993, he had become a beloved icon of theatrical horror, celebrated as much for his camp wit as for his sinister elegance.

High Speed Hangover Patreon Exclusive - Boris Karloff

This show is exclusive for my Patreon patrons.
Please consider becoming one TODAY 😊
Boris Karloff, born William Henry Pratt on November 23, 1887, in London, England, became one of the most iconic figures in horror cinema. He adopted the stage name “Boris Karloff” early in his acting career, which began in silent films before exploding into fame with his legendary portrayal of Frankenstein’s Monster in Frankenstein (1931). This role cemented his place in Hollywood’s horror pantheon, leading to a prolific career that spanned over 200 films, including The Mummy (1932), Bride of Frankenstein (1935), and The Body Snatcher (1945). Karloff was known for his ability to bring depth and humanity to monstrous roles, and he remained active in film, television, and voice work until his death on February 2, 1969, in Midhurst, Sussex. His legacy endures as a master of atmospheric horror and dignified menace.
And this month's Patreon themed show will be going through his filmography.
