For this week's peek at one of Dem Old Tapes from my collection we have London Death Metal band Ectopia. These guys formed in 1992 and had 2 demos out in their time. This one "Hate Release" from 1993 was their 1st with their self-titled 2nd demo coming in 1996. I guess they must have split up sometime after this.

Today's digging through my old demo tapes drawers has pulled out the 1st release by Birmingham, England Funeral Doom/Death Metal band Esoteric. This album length demo from 1993 is called "Esoteric Emotions - The Death of Ignorance". The band are very much still in existence with 6 albums having been released since this demo came out.

This week's look at a tape in my collection is all about this promo from 2000 by London Death Metal band Frustrum. These guys formed in 1998 and this was the only release they put out. They did a few gigs in London that I caught them at and interviewed them in my fanzine way back in time. (Damn nearly 20 years ago now!! According to Metal Archives two of the band members seem to be currently active in new bands, singer Hal is in Talanas and drummer Dani Ben-Haim hits the skins for Adorior, Grave Miasma & Scythian
