We start this week with some Sludge/Doom Metal from Boston, Massachusetts Grovel, these guys started life in 2015 with the name Hooch, changing name earlier this year. They have two releases out just this year, the EP "Tomb Grooves"....

Then from Cape Town, South Africa we have ING, these guys play Death/Thrash, the name stands for Infiltrate, Neutralize, Govern. They have 2 full-length albums, an EP and a compilation in their catalogues.

Lastly this week we have some Instrumental Death Metal from solo artist Garrett Davis, his project Lord Demise started in 2017.

This week's look at an old demo tape from my collection is by Polish Death Metal band Legion. These guys formed in 1993 and had 3 demos in their time. Metal Archives has no date for the band splitting up but their last demo "Anthems" was released in 1997. None of the band members from the final line-up appear to have moved on to other bands that I can see.
This is their 1st demo "Eon", the 1st of 2 to be released in 1995. This came out on a label called Killer Records who brought out less than a handfull of releases.
This week it is all about the D's on the blog/channel with Elric going through his collection. We drink some beer too, to wet our whistles whilst we shoot the breeze.

This week's demo comes from Greece's Doom/Death band Desulphurize who released one demo, "Nihilistic Era" in 1993, before changing their name to Elysian Fields and then The Elysian Fields.
I have quite a few The Elysian Fields releases as they are great stuff with 4 full albums, a promo and a comp out so far and they have a new album coming very soon so make sure you check them out.

I am friends with one of the guys on Facebook and asked him if he minded if I make the demo available for download in this blog and he said "The demo is not available for streaming anywhere. That is how we wanted it to be. Although we sold every copy back then, there is no value if it is to be found easily." Which I took to mean NO! Swedish Speed Metal sensations Armory formed in 2012 and have released 2 demos and 2 full-length albums so far. Their 2nd demo and both albums...
Finally this week we have Grassroll from Piraeus, Attica in Greece, forming in 2009 these guys mix Southern Metal and Grindcore and have 2 splits and an EP under their belts.
